Nations Cup Greetings from Jasmin Seppälä!
Rapide Riders Representing in the Nations Cup 2025
This year, two riders from Team Rapide have been selected to compete in the prestigious Nations Cup series. Estonian rider My Relander is representing Estonia, while Jasmin Seppälä is riding for Team Finland.
We had the chance to catch up with Jasmin following the first leg of the series in Denmark, where she competed with three horses: Lord Toulon, Kerel van het Sterrebos, and Attention Z.
Reflecting on the competition, Jasmin says her main takeaway is the strength of the Finnish team this year. The squad who was competing in Denmark includes Niklas Aromaa, Anna-Julia Kontio, Annina Nordström, Laura Aromaa, Jasmin herself, and is led by team chef d’équipe Mikko Mäentausta.
While Jasmin admits she had hoped for slightly stronger personal results, she’s still pleased with how her horses performed overall.
Attention Z delivered consistent, solid rounds and felt focused and reliable throughout the week.
Lord Toulon jumped well but was unlucky to tap a rail on a few occasions.
Kerel van het Sterrebos impressed with a clear round in the 150 cm class, and although he caught two rails at the end of the 155 cm round on day two, he showed great promise.
Although Jasmin would have preferred a cleaner overall result for herself, she remains proud of her horses—and even more proud of her teammates, who put in some excellent performances to start the season strong.
This week, Jasmin Seppälä-Geerink and Team Finland, as well as My Relander and Team Estonia, are heading to the CSIO3 Nations Cup in Drammen, Norway*, to continue their Nations Cup journey. The event marks the second leg of the Northern Region series, and will take place from June 6th to 9th, with the Nations Cup team competition scheduled for June 7th.
Representing Finland in Drammen are Niclas Aromaa, Annina Nordström, and Jasmin Seppälä-Geerink, who also competed in the previous leg in Martofte.
Joining them for this round are Petra Heikkinen and Anni Hjerpe, completing a strong and promising team lineup.
